Apex Concrete

Concrete services

Flatwork, structural pours, decorative finishes, and repair — poured to the right thickness on a properly compacted base, across all 57 cities we serve in the Dayton area.

Concrete Driveways

A driveway is the largest slab most homes will ever have, and the one that fails first when the base is rushed. We excavate to grade, compact a proper aggregate base, set reinforcement, and pour at the right thickness for the vehicles that will actually park on it.

  • Compacted aggregate base and proper drainage grade
  • Rebar or fiber-mesh reinforcement sized to the load
  • Control joints cut on schedule to direct cracking
  • Broom, exposed aggregate, or stamped finish

Concrete Patios

Patios are where decorative concrete earns its keep. We form the shape to your yard, pour a slab that drains away from the house, and finish it in the texture and color you picked — sealed so it still looks that way in five years.

  • Stamped, exposed aggregate, or smooth broom finish
  • Integral color and antiquing release options
  • Positive drainage pitched away from the foundation
  • Sealed on completion, with a resealing schedule

Concrete Foundations

Foundation work is unforgiving — everything above it inherits the mistakes. We pour footers below frost line, form stem walls square and plumb, and coordinate with your inspector so the pour passes the first time.

  • Footers poured below the local frost line
  • Formed stem walls, square and plumb to survey
  • Vapor barrier and reinforcement per spec
  • Inspection coordination and documented pours

Sidewalks & Walkways

Walkways carry more code requirements than people expect — width, slope, cross-pitch, and detectable warnings all get inspected. We build approaches that pass, drain, and stay level through the freeze-thaw cycle.

  • Code-compliant width, slope, and cross-pitch
  • ADA-accessible ramps and detectable warning panels
  • Poured steps with consistent rise and run
  • Tripping-hazard removal and slab replacement

Stamped & Decorative Concrete

Stamped concrete gets you the look of pavers or flagstone without the settling and weeds of individual units. Pattern, base color, and release color are chosen from real samples on site — not a screen — before anything is poured.

  • Ashlar slate, seamless stone, and wood-plank patterns
  • Integral base color with contrasting antiquing release
  • Saw-cut or hand-tooled joint layout
  • UV-stable sealer to slow color fade

Concrete Repair & Leveling

Not every bad slab needs to be torn out. Settled but sound concrete can often be lifted back to grade and sealed for a fraction of replacement cost. We tell you plainly which of the two your slab is.

  • Polyurethane slab lifting and void filling
  • Structural crack routing and epoxy injection
  • Overlay resurfacing for spalled but sound slabs
  • Honest replace-vs-repair assessment
